We are looking for our next Engineering Manager to join our tech domains in Milan. You will join a team of hard working entrepreneurs, who are passionate about transforming healthcare and play an active role in shaping a fast-growing company from day one!

Responsibilities

  • We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join the team in our Milan's tech hub: your mission will be working on the Continuity of Care technology.
  • You will be both a technical leader and a people manager, coaching and training your team members while building an amazing engineering organization at Doctolib. In this role, you will:
  • Lead a high performing collaborative team of 5+ members to ensure business objectives are met as a team;
  • Partner with talent & people teams to recruit, develop and retain talent;
  • Build, lead, and empower a user centric team, that delivers best in class internal and external user satisfaction;
  • Be the end-to-end owner of the team’s production, quality, and delivery while having positive team engagement scores;
  • Set standards and exceed security, reliability, performance and scalability requirements that are needed to continue to be the most trusted e-health SaaS;
  • Mentor and coach your team members to help them get even better every day;
  • Participate in architecture reviews to ensure that the solution delivered by your team meets Doctolib quality standards;
  • Lead cross functional initiatives to up-level our engineering team.
  • Who you are
  • Our ideal candidate would have the following skills, but if you don’t meet all the requirements below but believe this opportunity matches your expectations and experience, we still encourage you to apply!
  • You have at least 6+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years of management experience;
  • You’re eager to be hands on with our stack: our backend is mostly Ruby now, but evolving to Java and Kotlin;
  • You understand the value of testing your code, individually or functionally, for each new feature or bugfix;
  • You have the ability to adapt to the most efficient technologies to solve issues;
  • You have proven experiences developing efficient, maintainable and secure products;
  • You’re fluent in English.
