About this role

Are you interested in working in the automotive industry with signal processing, vehicle dynamics and sensor fusion? At NIRA, we are strengthening our team and looking for someone with a few years of engineering experience who wants to work in customer projects and contribute to developing high-quality solutions.

We are at the beginning of our journey to integrate AI into our development processes, and in this role you will be part of shaping that journey. Therefore we believe you have a curiosity for AI and want to contribute with ideas and hands-on exploration to improve how we work and build high-quality solutions.

About the role

As a Systems Engineer, your main responsibility is to optimize the performance of NIRA’s embedded products in vehicle models from several of the world’s leading car manufacturers. You will work in customer projects where your analysis and decisions directly affect how our products perform in real vehicles.

In this role, you will work with real vehicle data to understand system behavior, identify improvements and validate your solutions in practice. The work combines analysis, problem-solving and hands-on tuning, where small changes can make a real difference to vehicle performance.

You will be involved throughout the customer project lifecycle – from understanding requirements and planning data collection to analyzing results, tuning performance and communicating insights to customers.

You will also contribute to improving how we work by developing tools, refining workflows and exploring new ways to increase efficiency and quality. This includes using AI tools where relevant – for example to support analysis, automate repetitive tasks or improve productivity.

We believe in freedom with responsibility: you will have the trust to shape your work and take ownership of your tasks. Collaboration isn’t just a buzzword here, it's how we get things done. Your ideas matter, and you will make a real impact on both our products and how we work.
