Head of HR

We are looking for a Head of HR to join Paf Group and lead the development of our people and HR. Paf Group has 300 employees across 7 countries, and you will lead a team of 7 in the HR team. The position is based in Mariehamn.

About the role

As Head of HR at Paf Group you will play a key role in shaping and executing our people strategy, ensuring it supports our business goals, culture, and long-term sustainability. You will work across the organization, acting as a trusted advisor on organizational, leadership and people-related matters.

This is a broad and hands-on role where you combine strategic thinking with operational execution, leading the HR function while actively contributing to both development initiatives and day-to-day HR matters. You will report to the Deputy CEO and collaborate closely with senior leaders on organizational and people-related matters.

Main responsibilities

Define and execute the HR strategy aligned with Paf Group's business priorities. Support senior leadership in organizational development and change initiatives.

Ensure a strong employee experience across the full lifecycle and promote a performance-oriented culture. Oversee performance management, compensation, and benefits structures. Take an active role in HR operations, including employee relations and complex HR matters.

Ensure compliance with labor laws, GDPR and internal policies, including ownership of HR-related agreements and management of external vendors. Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of HR processes and systems.

Oversee workplace-related services such as office facilities, reception, and travel management.

Lead and develop the HR team while contributing operationally.

Requirements Relevant experience in a senior HR role, preferably in an international environment.
