Backend Developer

We're looking for a Backend Developer to join us at Telia.

I'm Vaiva Striužė and I am leading Shared service team at Telia's IT Fulfilment division. I'm searching for someone ready to grow with us.

We're a team focused on development, delivery, maintenance, and operations of the Common Service Order Management (SOM) and Inventory solutions. These solutions keep track of our network and orchestrates order provisioning for mobile and fixed services across Finland, Sweden, Lithuania & Estonia.

SOM & EAI are strategic platforms for the entire Telia Group, and we're currently on a transformation journey to strengthen our global footprint while continuously evolving and ensuring top quality.

What you'll do: Develop well-structured, easily maintainable, and high-quality code using Java on Linux, including BPMN/Camunda flows

Write and execute tests and review code made by others to verify quality

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, solution architects, Product Owners and other stakeholders

Work in an Agile way following SAFe principles

What will help you thrive in this role: Experience in Java back-end and API development (preferably 3-5 years)

Strong knowledge of web services (SOAP, REST); Github, jfrog, Ansible

Experience working in Linux environment

Experience in Oracle and Postgres databases, SQL and PL/SQL / PL/pqSQL

Fluency in English

It would be a big plus if you have previously worked in a multicultural enterprise environment or are familiar with Telecommunication industry (BSS & OSS).

We would also consider as an advantage if you're familiar or have experience with: Camunda BPMN

CI/CD

Apache Kafka for building scalable, event-driven systems and handling real time data streams

Bash and Python for automation, system tasks, and integration workflows
