Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will ensure that critical components are delivered to ABB's factories with the required quality. You will travel to subcontractor sites to perform quality checks together with the supplier before shipment, focusing on the most important and high‑priority components. Your office will be in Vuosaari, Helsinki but role requires international travelling around 150 days per year to the suppliers.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Quality checks for components at suppliers manufacturing locations

Ensuring component compliance at supplier end before shipment to ABB factories

Management of quality, delivery and compliance issue resolution

Facilitation of communication between internal teams and suppliers

Specification clarification and requirement alignment with suppliers

Work model: hybrid, LI#onsite

Qualifications for the Role

Technical degree

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, including tolerances, surface finish requirements, and fit/function criteria

Several years' working experience in welding or machining

Understanding of welding and machining standards

NDT competence (such as MT, PT, UT, VT)

Good O365 skills and ability to learn new systems

Willingness to travel internationally about 150 days per year
