About this role

On behalf of a municipality in Buskerud, we are recruiting nurses for 100% permanent positions in a care and treatment center.

The center is dedicated to providing high-quality care to residents and emphasizes creating a positive and empowering atmosphere. It includes a nursing home with 16 beds - 8 for long-term care and 8 in a specialized dementia unit-as well as 8 assisted living apartments staffed during the day and evening, with night supervision. The facility actively integrates welfare technology to enhance the quality of life for residents and focuses on innovative care practices.

Position overview:

100% permanent position

Rotational shift schedule with work every third weekend

Job responsibilities:

Providing high-quality clinical nursing care and follow-up

Supporting and empowering residents in their daily lives

Coordinating and planning service offerings

Interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues and external professionals

Leading and organizing the team on shift

Requirements

  • Authorization as a registered nurse in an EU country
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with motivation to learn Norwegian
  • Experience in elderly and dementia care is highly valued
  • Leadership or team management experience is a plus
  • Further education in geriatrics or dementia/elderly psychiatry is an advantage
  • Police clearance and health certificate for tuberculosis and MRSA required upon employment
