The Material Planner's primary responsibility is to ensure on time, in full, and in quality availability of goods required for production.
This role involves daily incident management, requiring communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including the DC, Procurement team, and Suppliers to swiftly resolve any emerging issues within the production week. A core focus is complying with key performance KPIs, particularly those related to waste mitigation and error reduction and working on efficiency through the creation of processes and continuous improvement.
What You Will Be Doing:
Direct Management: Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of Material Planning Controllers.
Performance Tracking: Define and monitor team KPIs, focusing on inventory accuracy, shelf-life management, and waste reduction.
Process Engineering: Design and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for stock reconciliation and supplier deliveries.
Who You Are:
The Leader: You have 2+ years of experience managing teams in a fast-paced logistics, FMCG, or manufacturing environment. You know how to motivate a team during high-pressure "Peak" weeks.
The Technical Specialist: You have previous experience with SQL/Snowflake and advanced Excel/Google Sheets and WMS system.
The Problem Solver: You don't just see a stock discrepancy; you want to find the "Why" using data and implement a fix so it never happens again.
