đŸ§‘đŸ»â€đŸ’» About the role

First things first: you want to know what you’re actually applying for. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distill it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:

As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of Mews’ core platform. You’ll design and build distributed systems that power thousands of properties globally, mentor engineers across teams, and help drive the evolution of our architecture as we move from a modular monolith toward service-oriented systems.

This isn’t about being a lone genius; it’s about multiplying the impact of those around you. You’ll raise the bar for technical excellence, ensure our systems scale beautifully, and champion simplicity in the face of complexity.

What you’ll do:

Design and evolve scalable, cloud-native systems that support global hospitality operations 24/7.

Lead by example: write clean, maintainable, production-ready code in C#/.NET, with services hosted in Microsoft Azure.

Mentor and guide engineers, sharing best practices in architecture, testing, performance, and reliability.

Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and data teams to turn ambitious ideas into reliable features.

Shape technical strategy: contribute to architectural reviews, long-term platform planning, and engineering process improvements.

Champion our culture: curiosity, transparency, ownership, and bias for action — the principles that make Mews, Mews.

Tech you’ll work with:

Our core stack includes:

Backend: C#/.NET (latest LTS), Azure SQL, Redis, Cosmos DB

Frontend: React + TypeScript

Data: Databricks, dbt, Kafka, Spark, GoodData

Infra: Azure Cloud, Terraform, Pulumi, GitHub Actions

Monitoring: Sentry, Coralogix, Azure Monitor

(You don’t need to know every tool — curiosity and a strong engineering mindset are what matter most.)
