Your Team You’ll join our Finance & ERP Engineering team, a core group responsible for building and maintaining the SAP backbone that powers SumUp’s financial, logistics, and compliance operations across multiple markets. This team plays a critical role in some of SumUp’s most impactful initiatives — from electronic invoicing across EU countries, to field sales enablement, to automation of accounting and tax processes supporting SumUp’s IPO readiness. As a Junior SAP Developer, you’ll work closely with experienced SAP Developers, functional experts, and business stakeholders. You’ll be supported to learn SumUp’s SAP landscape end-to-end, contribute to real production systems, and progressively grow your technical ownership while helping keep mission-critical finance systems running smoothly. 📍 Get a feel for our Sofia hub here 👉 Sofia Office What You’ll Do 🛠️ Learning & Training (first months) Get hands-on onboarding into SumUp’s SAP landscape (S/4HANA, Fiori, CPI, BTP) Learn our clean code principles, development standards, and delivery practices Shadow senior developers to understand business processes across finance and logistics Developing & Contributing Develop and maintain SAP programs, reports, and interfaces with guidance Support testing, debugging, and quality assurance of SAP applications Assist in building and extending SAP Fiori applications Work on integrations with other systems (e.g. Kafka, Snowflake, Salesforce) Document development work clearly and consistently Progressing Your Impact Take ownership of small features and enhancements over time Contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and team ceremonies Participate in code reviews and gradually contribute to technical discussions Support incident resolution and continuous improvement of existing solutions You’ll Be Great for This Role If 🌱 Must-have You have 1–2 years of SAP development experience or a strong programming background You have basic knowledge of ABAP You understand SAP architecture and at least one module (FI, SD, MM, or similar) You’re comfortable working in English (spoken and written) You enjoy learning, asking questions, and working collaboratively You’re happy with an office-first setup (4–5 days/week) in Sofia
