Responsibilities

• We are looking for a solution-oriented and proactive Automation Engineer to join our automation team at Fermion's production site in Oulu.
• Fermion's production sites are highly automated, utilizing process automation and building automation systems, PLCs, and recipe and reporting systems. In this role, you will take an active role in production process and equipment renewals, expansion projects, and production efficiency initiatives. We are continuously seeking solutions within automation that support smarter and more efficient ways of working.
• Your responsibilities will include automation lifecycle maintenance activities, leading automation related matters in projects, oversee commissioning activities as well as taking part in validations, documentation needs, and technical development. The wide scope and complexity of this role add variety to your workdays. • You will:
• After you have completed your onboarding, take over a key user role for defined systems. As a key user you are responsible for system functionality and maintenance, ensuring that requirements are met.
• Lead automation and instrumentation design in change and project work, from design to definition of HW and SW solutions, coordination of suppliers, partners, and subcontractors, FAT/SAT testing, commissioning and validation.
• Participate in the development of production automation and supporting the lifecycle management of production equipment from an automation perspective.
