Cash Analyst - Castrol

About this role

Responsibilities

• We’re hiring a Cash Analyst to support our daily cash and liquidity activity. You’ll work with the Cash Manager to bring together forecasts, actuals and funding needs across all Castrol entities. You’ll help us understand how cash moves through the business each day and what actions we need to take to keep operations running smoothly.
• This role gives you the chance to work at the centre of a new treasury function. You’ll contribute to the design of our tools, reporting and processes, and you’ll collaborate with teams across Castrol to improve how we plan and manage liquidity.
• What you’ll deliver:
• You’ll help us build a clear, reliable view of Castrol’s cash position. We’ll look to you to analyse forecasts, track performance and support decisions that keep the business funded.
• You will:
• Analyse cash forecasts to support daily and short‑term liquidity planning
• Track forecast‑to‑actual movements and highlight variances
• Produce funding requirement outputs to support timely decisions
• Provide a currency‑level view of daily funding requests from business units
• Identify surplus cash and support upstreaming under intercompany arrangements
• Produce standard reports and analytical outputs for treasury and finance teams
• Execute daily short‑term cash positioning across multiple currencies
• Maintain and expand the funding request tool as more businesses onboard
• Support the development of longer‑term (three‑month) liquidity forecasts
• Contribute to policy, stress testing and process improvements
• What you’ll bring:
• We’re looking for someone who understands treasury operations and is comfortable working with cash, FX and financial data. You don’t need to meet every requirement, but experience in the following areas will help you succeed:
• Treasury cash management
• Buying and selling FX
• Working with banks and supporting banking processes
• Improving operational processes
• Understanding financial risks such as market, liquidity or credit
• Working with SAP or connected financial systems
• Using data tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, DAX, RegEx or Dataiku
• Experience in oil retail or energy (helpful but not essential)
