🧑🏻💻 About the role
First things first: you want to know what you’re actually applying for. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distill it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our FinTech team and lead the development of our payment acceptance and acquiring capabilities – the infrastructure that enables thousands of hospitality businesses across multiple markets to accept, process and settle payments seamlessly. This is a role for someone who understands the full lifecycle of a transaction – from authorization through to settlement and reconciliation – and who can translate that knowledge into products that create real competitive advantage. You’ll operate end-to-end – from identifying opportunities and shaping strategy, to working closely with engineering and design to bring products to life.
You’ll be responsible for building scalable and compliant solutions that drive transaction volume across a growing number of markets.
✅ Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
Own the product lifecycle end-to-end – from discovery through to delivery and iteration.
Define and drive product strategy for our acquiring and payment acceptance capabilities.
Identify high-impact opportunities through data, customer insights, and market trends
Work closely with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver high-quality payment solutions
Partner with stakeholders across the business (Finance, Legal, GTM, Support) to ensure alignment and successful launches
Translate complex financial and technical requirements into clear product direction
Drive measurable outcomes – adoption, revenue, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Navigate regulatory and compliance considerations in a pragmatic, scalable way
🤝️ You’ll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:
Proven experience as a Product Manager in payments, acquiring, or payment processing environment
Strong understanding of the card payment lifecycle – authorization, clearing, settlement and the roles of schemes, issues, and acquirers
Experience working with or within acquiring, PSP, or merchant services businesses
Ability to operate in ambiguity and take ownership of complex problem spaces
Data-driven mindset – comfortable using data to inform decisions and measure success
Strong stakeholder management skills – you can influence across functions and seniority levels
Experience working closely with engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
Customer-first thinking with a bias for action and delivery
💪 Nice to Have
Experience with embedded finance or platform-based products
Familiarity with global payments infrastructure, compliance, or financial regulations
Experience in a high-growth or scale-up environment
Exposure to AI-driven product development
