About the Assignment You will take ownership of the diagnostic area within inverter software development in an advanced automotive environment focused on electrified transmissions and electric drive units. The role sits at the intersection of embedded software, functional requirements, legislation, and system-level design. You will work with diagnostic strategy from early analysis through architecture, implementation support, certification documentation, and validation. This assignment gives you the chance to influence how diagnostic functions are built for complex electrified systems, with a strong mix of technical depth, cross-functional collaboration, and real impact on product quality and compliance. Job DescriptionYou will lead and own the Diagnostic field in inverter SW development. You will analyze requirements based on OBD legislation, ISO standards, OEM requirements, and FMEA. You will design a monitor strategy with stable robustness. You will compile diagnostic requirements at both SW level and component level. You will design the diagnostic architecture together with application SW and basic SW. You will collaborate closely with system engineers, BSW engineers, and hardware engineers around diagnostic functionality. You will support unit design and help ensure the diagnostic perspective is covered throughout development. You will prepare key deliveries such as OBD Certification Documents and Fault Handling Specification. You will support diagnostic test planning and test case design. You will work with the test team on issue analysis and validation of diagnostic functions. You will support the interaction between Diagnostic and FuSa.
