The Regional Business Line Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee and lead the financial management and oversight of the network’s high growth operations. Through regular collaboration with business leaders, this roles ensures resources are appropriately allocated and that costs are transparent and well understood across Eurofins companies. To support these objectives, a high-impact and effective team of people will be coached and developed. As Regional Business Line CFO, you will: Partner with operational leaders responsible for the BioPharma Services Europe Business Line. Contribute to the mid-term strategy of the Business Line in your scope, with a focus on laboratory footprint, new & extended sites, expansion in new countries, and key services portfolio management. Define and monitor transfer pricing models for the relevant Business Line. Ensure the implementation and use of relevant ad hoc financial KPIs when needed. Carry out day-to-day leadership and performance management for teams, processes and activities, including the development of strong finance and support teams, including HR, IT, Marketing, and Internal Consulting. Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and controlling (financials & headcounts). Drive the implementation of standard processes, KPIs and controls for Eurofins companies in your scope through industrial/permanent improvement measures, and operational/commercial excellence metrics for individual areas of activity. Develop and implement sourcing and standardisation strategies in order to obtain significant purchasing savings. Oversee the acquisitions that are planned and completed by supporting due diligence processes and leading the restructuring and integration of newly acquired laboratories. Lead or take part in transversal projects between Eurofins companies across the relevant Business Line. Manage and oversee human resource activities for Eurofins companies within your scope. Recruit, develop and promote talented leaders and manage the succession planning process for relevant teams in your scope. Oversee the effective roll-out of IT solutions.
Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Finance or Engineering or Chemistry, from a leading university; MBA is considered a plus. Strong leader with proven track record in leading change and developing strong teams while achieving or exceeding ambitious targets in a sustainable manner. Over 10-15 years of progressive experience in operational finance roles with increasing level & scope of responsibility. Able to lead and inspire large teams across multiple countries & geographies. Solid knowledge of finance policies, processes and finance systems, with a track record of improving finance processes. Good interpersonal, communication and team leadership skills. Ability to manage and prioritise workload to ensure appropriate controls while driving forward strategic initiatives. Track record of building strong internal and external business relationships, and setting ambitious goals with a focus on accountability and deliver results. Ability to effectively communicate vision, strategies, issues, and action plans to senior management. Personal qualities: Autonomous and accountable with a natural drive for delivering results. The ideal candidate is pragmatic, resourceful and hands-on, ensuring initiatives are undertaken with high drive and proactivity. Strong attention to detail complimented with an ability to appreciate the larger scope at stake, and cordial but firm, ensuring relationships are managed effectively and rationally. Adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with an affinity for entrepreneurial and de-centralised organisations.
