About this role

About Wolt

At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Set up the meeting structures and reporting flows so the team spends less time "giving updates" and more time making decisions on trade-offs and business impact.
  • Own the quarterly and annual planning process, making sure every team’s goal is directly tied to growing our user base and revenue.
  • Make sure teams are using the global playbooks and quality checks we built, closing the gap between strategy and real-world execution.
  • Help the Sr Director decide where to hire next and how to move people between projects as our technical and business needs change.
  • Take complicated data and technical project updates and turn them into simple, one-page briefs or slides so the Sr Director can quickly update the executive-level stakeholders.
  • Identify when teams are working in silos or when we are over-messaging our users, and build the processes to fix it before it hurts our numbers.
  • Lead people practice, ensuring we have a strong, connected team culture, and that team members see a long-term future to grow their careers within Wolt.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, strategy, project management, or growth marketing in a high-growth tech environment.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to navigate a large, global matrix organization and drive alignment across multiple senior teams without needing direct reporting authority.
  • A strong "owner" mindset with the ability to build organizational structure and culture from scratch in fast-paced or ambiguous situations.
  • Deep commercial acumen, with the ability to look past vanity metrics and focus on incrementality, payback, and long-term business value.
  • Exceptional communication skills, specifically the ability to filter out noise and present only the most critical decisions and narratives to executive leadership.
  • Experience in organizational design or "people ops," with a genuine interest in building career frameworks and fostering a high-performance team culture.
  • A high level of analytical literacy, comfortable enough with data tools and technical roadmaps to stress-test the plans presented by functional leads.
  • A bias for simplicity, with a track record of removing bureaucracy and "corporate fluff" to help teams move faster.

Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life. Wolt’s Growth Marketing function has scaled to a global organization of 70+ people across Performance Marketing, CRM, Martech, and Media. To manage this scale effectively, the Director of Growth requires a "right hand" to ensure the organization remains lean, happy, aligned, and focused on business outcomes rather than just activity. This is not a traditional administrative role; it is a high-leverage position designed to act as a force multiplier for the Sr Director of Growth. You will oversee the operational heartbeat of the department, ensuring that global strategies are executed with precision. You are responsible for building the systems that allow 70+ experts to move in the same direction, removing the friction that comes with a multi-market matrix, and ensuring that our most critical growth levers are prioritized and measured with executive rigor.
