We are looking for a Wireless System Engineer to join our team in Espoo and contribute to the development of next-generation wireless modem and radio systems.
In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize system and algorithms for advanced multi-antenna wireless systems. You will work closely with FW, VLSI, RF, and test teams, and play a key role in translating wireless theory into robust, high-performance algorithms running on real hardware.
Key ResponsibilitiesDefine algorithmic requirements for advanced wireless features
Research, design, and optimize wireless and PHY-layer algorithms for performance and robustness
Drive algorithm integration into the system, including simulation, modeling, and on-target validation
Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose algorithmic improvements
Support bring-up and validation activities by troubleshooting complex performance and reliability issues
Contribute to features definition, feasibility studies, and trade-off analyses
Serve as a technical focal point for algorithm-related topics across HW, FW, and test teams
Required Qualifications3+ years of hands-on experience in wireless communications and/or signal processing algorithms
Experience with algorithm development, analysis, and validation using simulations and lab measurements
Strong background in modem and PHY fundamentals across RF/analog and digital domains
Proven ability to define end-to-end algorithmic flows and collaborate across HW, and FW teams
Familiarity with at least one wireless standard (e.g., 5G NR, LTE, Wi-Fi, or similar)
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex algorithmic concepts
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience in PHY/modem algorithm design (e.g., synchronization, channel estimation, MIMO, equaliz
