About this role

<p>ReOrbit is looking for a <strong>Senior EMI/EMC Engineer</strong> to take ownership of electromagnetic compatibility across our next generation satellite platforms. You will work at the intersection of hardware, RF, power and avionics, ensuring spacecraft systems operate reliably in demanding electromagnetic environments. This is a hands on role focused on real hardware, real testing and full system responsibility from design to validation.</p><p>This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company and work on next-generation satellite platforms where EMC is mission-critical from day one.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Own end to end spacecraft EMC strategy, requirements and verification</p></li><li><p>Define EMC requirements across avionics, power, AOCS, RF and payload systems</p></li><li><p>Plan and execute full EMC test campaigns at spacecraft level</p></li><li><p>Drive grounding, bonding, shielding, and return path design</p></li><li><p>Design and review filtering, cable harness, and transient protection approaches</p></li><li><p>Perform conducted and radiated emissions and susceptibility analysis</p></li><li><p>Define and manage EMC budgets and power quality constraints</p></li><li><p>Execute hands on EMC testing (conducted/radiated emissions &amp; susceptibility, ESD, transients)</p></li><li><p>Debug issues in lab using oscilloscopes, probes, LISNs, antennas, and spectrum analyzers</p></li><li><p>Work cross functionally with avionics, power, RF, AOCS, mechanical, AIT, and software teams</p></li><li><p>Identify and mitigate EMC induced failure modes at system level</p></li><li><p>Own final EMC readiness and sign off before flight</p></li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Requirements</strong></p><ul><li><p>5+ years of EMC engineering experience in spacecraft or aerospace systems</p></li><li><p>Strong hands on experience with emissions and susceptibility testing</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with ECSS-E-ST-20-07, MIL-STD-461, or DO-160 standards</p></li><li><p>Experience working across multiple subsystems (avionics, power, RF, AOCS)</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to diagnose and resolve EMC issues on real hardware</p></li><li><p>Experience with simulation tools such as ADS, CST, or HFSS</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for analysis and modelling</p></li><li><p>Hands on experience with EMI/EMC/RF lab equipment</p></li><li><p>Comfortable working in integrated hardware/software environments</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>What does ReOrbit do?</strong></p><p>ReOrbit builds the foundation for the next generation of space applications by transforming satellites into truly intelligent, interconnected platforms, defined by software.
