<p>ReOrbit is looking for a <strong>Senior TT&C Engineer</strong> to take full ownership of the RF / PHY Telemetry, Tracking & Command (TT&C) subsystem across our next generation satellite platforms. You will design, analyze, validate and de-risk the full TT&C chain, ensuring robust spacecraft ground communication with well understood margins and no late surprises. This is a hands-on builder role focused on real hardware, real signals, and full-system responsibility from design through preflight validation.</p><p>This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company and work on next-generation satellite platforms where communication reliability is mission-critical from day one.</p><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Own end to end TT&C RF / PHY subsystem from requirements through validation</p></li><li><p>Define RF architecture, perform trade studies and drive key design decisions</p></li><li><p>Develop, analyze, and defend link budgets, margins, and performance models</p></li><li><p>Define and validate interfaces between spacecraft, payload, and ground systems</p></li><li><p>Model and simulate RF and communication system performance</p></li><li><p>Implement and analyze CCSDS TM/TC at PHY and link layers</p></li><li><p>Work with DVB-S2 / S2X and/or custom/proprietary waveforms</p></li><li><p>Address security and encryption considerations at PHY / link layer</p></li><li><p>Execute hands on RF testing using lab equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)</p></li><li><p>Perform hardware in the loop (HIL) and system level TT&C validation</p></li><li><p>Own pre flight validation, tuning, and de-risking of the full TT&C chain</p></li><li><p>Collaborate closely with payload hardware, avionics, flight software, ground segment and AIT teams</p></li><li><p>Ensure clean RF verification campaigns with no late stage surprises</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Skills and Requirements </strong></p><ul><li><p>5+ years of experience in space, satcom, or deep tech RF engineering</p></li><li><p>Prior spaceflight experience supporting at least one real mission</p></li><li><p>Strong hands-on expertise in RF system design, analysis and validation</p></li><li><p>Proven experience building and validating link budgets</p></li><li><p>Deep understanding of RF lab testing and measurement techniques</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of CCSDS standards (TM/TC, coding, space link protocols)</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with ECSS standards across communications and verification</p></li><li><p>Experience with DVB-S2 / S2X and/or custom PHY waveforms</p></li><li><p>Exposure to security and encryption at PHY or link layer</p></li><li><p>Ability to work across design, simulation, lab testing, and system integration</p></li><li><p>Solid awareness of low level software (C/C++, FPGA interfaces, drivers)</p></li><li><p>Experience with RF simulation tools (ADS, CST, HFSS, MATLAB)</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for communication system analysis</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with RF test equipment</p></li><li><p>Comfortable working in integrated hardware/software environments</p></li></ul><p><strong>What does ReOrbit do?</strong></p><p>ReOrbit builds the foundation for the next generation of space applications by transforming satellites into truly intelligent, interconnected platforms, defined by software.
