Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and basic exposure to electronics. This role requires a proactive and execution-driven professional who can effectively manage updates and corrections related to manufacturing data and technical documentation.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment of engineering data across systems and documentation, supporting both product and manufacturing functions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret requested modifications related to R&D manufacturing data to ensure accurate implementation
- Perform minor mechanical design updates using tools such as Creo
- Revise and maintain manufacturing documentation to reflect current product configurations
- Manage and update product-related data within PLM systems
- Initiate and coordinate EMS service requests for updates to CAD models and PCB drawings
- Prepare and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in accordance with established procedures
- Lead and facilitate review sessions to validate updated documents and ensure compliance
- Required Experience
- Senior-level experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within components or product development
- Exposure to manufacturing environments and engineering data management processes
- Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Required Skills
- Proficiency in CAD tools, particularly Creo
- Experience working with PCB-related documentation and coordination
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
- Understanding of Engineering Change Management processes (ECO/ECR)
- Knowledge of Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage technical documentation
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities and drive tasks to completion
