Join us in Nootdorp, the Netherlands, as our new Product Owner with GNSS expertise to strengthen our Innovation and Technology team. In this role, you will drive the development and continuous improvement of our high‑precision GNSS solutions that support critical geodata operations worldwide.
Fugro develops and operates its own GNSS augmentation services (https://www.fugro.com/expertise/satellite-positioning) which enhance standard GNSS signals for superior accuracy and reliability. You take ownership of the product vision and roadmap, shaping long‑term strategy rather than simply executing tasks. You work closely with engineering, commercial teams and end users to translate needs into clear requirements and impactful features, ensuring our products deliver maximum value.
You will work with advanced technologies such as PPP, multi‑constellation positioning, anti-spoofing, sensor fusion — an ideal environment for someone who thrives on complex, technical products and enjoys pushing technological boundaries.
Responsibilities
- You gather internal and external user requirements for Satellite Positioning products and translate them into work packages, milestones, and user stories;
- You create and maintain a clear product roadmap and a well‑prioritized backlog that reflects business needs and technical priorities;
- You align the product’s technical vision with commercial objectives in collaboration with Brand Managers and co‑develop business cases and supporting justification documents;
- You take ownership of technical project progress within Fugro’s innovation framework, managing risk, budget, scope, and stakeholder expectations;
- You refine and oversee the implementation of backlog items with development teams in an Agile environment;
- You provide and coordinate technical support for your products, assisting internal teams and customers with product‑related inquiries.
- Your Track Record
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field such as Navigation Technology, Geoinformation Science, Geodesy, Earth Observation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline;
- You have strong knowledge of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS); familiarity with Atlassian Jira is an advantage.
- You bring at least 5 years of product management experience; software product ownership is a strong plus.
- You understand software systems and the technology that underpins them.
- You benefit from experience working with distributed or remote teams.
- You communicate fluently in English, both technically and non‑technically, and collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels.
- What Fugro offers
- Based on your relevant experience, the salary ranges from €4.900 to €6.500. This amount is part of our salary range, with opportunities for growth within the role;
