About the role
As a Technical Consultant, you will lead a comprehensive pre-study for a New Product Introduction (NPI) program. Your primary focus will be evaluating the compliance of advanced FACTS STATCOM systems-including hardware, software, and control functions-against international IEEE and IEC standards.

Work tasks
Lead a comprehensive pre-study for a New Product Introduction (NPI) program, evaluating compliance of advanced FACTS STATCOM systems against international IEEE and IEC standards.
Identify and assess compliance against applicable IEEE standards, focusing on dynamic performance, grid interconnection, and power quality.
Compare IEEE and IEC requirements to highlight differences, overlaps, and potential conflicts.
Validate and adapt existing IEC type test plans and prepare a comprehensive IEEE type test plan.
Identify and assess accredited test laboratories capable of performing demanding high-current type tests.
Establish a clear basis for IEC 61850 compliance claims by mapping requirements to specific type tests.
Identify technical and schedule risks, recommending specific actions to ensure successful NPI execution.
We are looking for
Advanced knowledge in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related fields.
Knowledge of FACTS STATCOM systems, including VSC topology and control algorithms.
Knowledge of IEEE and IEC standards for grid interconnection and power electronics.
Ability to perform detailed gap analyses between complex technical requirements.
