Senior Accountant – Finance Operations (m/f/d)

About this role

Responsibilities

• You are our go-to person for day-to-day accounting. You make sure every receipt, invoice and expense ends up in the right place — cost center, account, country — and you prepare everything so that our external tax advisor can book without back-and-forth. You work across several European countries, with employees and freelancers, and with local payroll providers. We don’t have fully established processes yet, so you won’t just follow a playbook: you spot gaps, think the process through and set it up yourself. You work closely with our Head of Finance, who owns controlling, forecasting and reporting, and with our external tax advisor, who handles ongoing bookkeeping, annual financial statements and German payroll. You ideally bring your own experience from a tax advisory firm or a similar environment.
• Your responsibilities
• ● Preparatory bookkeeping: Pre-code receipts and prepare them for ongoing bookkeeping by our tax advisor
• ● Receipt and invoice management: Collect receipts and incoming invoices, review them, and consistently follow up on open items
• ● Correct allocation: Make sure expenses are assigned to the correct cost center and the correct account in the chart of accounts
