Are you an experienced procurement professional with a passion for global sourcing and supplier development? We are looking for a Sourcing Manager to join our Supply Chain team in Espoo, with responsibility for the mechanical category. In this role, you'll report to the Head of Supply Chain and play a key part in developing sourcing strategies, negotiating with global suppliers, and driving continuous improvement across our operations.
The primary focus of this role is to drive strategic sourcing initiatives that strengthen supplier relationships, improve total cost of ownership, mitigate supply risks, and support business growth. In addition to leading category management and supplier negotiations, you will also contribute to operational procurement activities when needed, ensuring continuity of supply and supporting the wider purchasing team with tasks such as purchase order management, delivery expediting, and supplier communication. Success in this position requires both strategic thinking and a willingness to be hands-on when required.
Responsibilities
- As our Sourcing Manager, you will:
- Develop and implement sourcing and category strategies for the mechanical category to optimize cost, quality, delivery performance, and supply continuity.
- Lead supplier identification, qualification, onboarding, and contract negotiations, including the introduction of new suppliers to support business growth, risk mitigation, and competitiveness.
- Ensure supplier capacity and capability are aligned with current and future business requirements, proactively managing supply risks and supporting production needs.
- Drive cost optimization, value engineering, and supplier development initiatives to deliver sustainable improvements in performance and total cost of ownership.
