Guest Host

We are looking for an energetic, service-minded Guest Host to join our team for the coming winter season. Ivalo is our newest resort, set right beside a working husky farm in the far north of Finnish Lapland. Northern Lights Village Ivalo is a small resort, so the role covers many different tasks. You will work across reception, restaurant service, and housekeeping, and look after our guests throughout their stay.

The roleWelcome guests, handle check-in and check-out, and answer questions

Serve in the restaurant, preparing also breakfast

Clean guest rooms and common areas to the resort's standard

Support guests with their bookings and daily needs during their stay

What we expect from youAt least one year's experience in reception, restaurant, and cleaning work

Fluent English, written and spoken

Excellent communication and customer service skills

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Good organisational skills and the ability to manage several tasks at once

Knowledge of hotel booking systems

A professional and friendly manner

A valid category B driving licence

Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Beneficial qualificationsFirst aid certification

Knowledge of the local area

Finnish alcohol passport (alkoholipassi) & Hygiene proficiency certificate

Additional language skills

Experience in restaurant service

Pay, duration and benefitsSeason: November to March

Working hours: 112,5 h per three-week period

Monthly salary of 2291 - 2469 €, by experience and skill + collective agreement supplements

Shared-room accommodation arranged by the company if needed, at 300 €/month
