About this role

About The Job

As a DFT Engineer in the Silicon team, you’ll work on next-generation AI designs targeted at data centre applications.

You’ll define and implement DFT architecture and features, develop DFT flows and methodologies, and support their verification.

Your work will span structural test vectors, test coverage, scan-based testing and ATPG, working closely with design, verification, physical design and product engineering teams.

You’ll also support silicon bring-up, working with product and test engineering teams to identify silicon failures and improve yield learning.

The Team and Culture

The team navigates day-to-day challenges with regular sync-ups, a weekly coffee chat and plenty of informal technical discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions help everyone stay connected. Work is assigned across the team, with Dean, the team lead, breaking it down and helping everyone understand what needs to be done.

The team is a friendly, open bunch, with a pretty light-touch leadership style. Everyone is encouraged to speak up, share ideas and ask questions, no matter how small they might seem. There’s a strong belief in learning from one another, alongside access to online training and formal courses when needed.

The team tries to get together in person whenever possible, whether for a team lunch or by bringing colleagues together in Bristol, Cambridge or London. It’s a good chance to catch up, share ideas and spend time together beyond the day-to-day work.

Requirements

  • Strong DFT knowledge, including JTAG, IJTAG, Core Test, SSN, test compression and OCC
  • Experience developing DFT specifications, defining architecture and driving DFT implementation and verification
  • Strong understanding of scan-based testing, ATPG and gate-level simulation, including tools such as VCS and Verdi
  • Hands-on Verilog RTL experience, familiarity with SystemVerilog, and experience with simulation, debugging, synthesis or STA
  • Strong scripting and debugging skills using Python, TCL, Perl or Shell, with experience developing DFT flows and methodologies
  • While we have outlined a set of requirements, we value transferable skills and diverse experiences. If you meet most of our essential criteria, we encourage you to submit an application and showcase how your background makes you a strong candidate.
