A taste of what you’ll do

The Regulatory Counsel is a mid-level role within the Regulatory function, responsible for providing independent regulatory advice and analysis to the business across multiple gambling jurisdictions.

The Regulatory Counsel takes ownership of a defined portfolio of regulatory matters, providing clear and practical advice on the application of gambling laws, licence conditions, and regulatory requirements.

The role involves independent management of licensing and regulatory submissions, proactive identification of regulatory risks, and substantive input into the development of policies, frameworks, and business initiatives. The Regulatory Counsel will develop relationships with internal stakeholders and regulators, contributing meaningfully to the delivery of the team’s objectives.

Accountabilities:

Regulatory Advisory & Interpretation

Monitor, analyse and interpret regulatory developments across multiple gambling jurisdictions, assessing their impact on the business.

Provide clear, practical, and independent regulatory advice to internal stakeholders across product, marketing, payments, operations, and technology.

Conduct substantive legal research and regulatory analysis on applicable laws, licence conditions, and regulatory frameworks.

Manage regulatory queries from the business, providing timely and well-reasoned responses with limited supervision.

Provide regulatory input on customer-facing terms and conditions, complaints, and related matters.
