About the Role

DayOne is building its flagship hyperscale data center campus in Lahti, on a former industrial site in Kiveriö. The campus is designed to use Finland's naturally cool climate for free cooling, with air-cooled chillers that remove the need for freshwater cooling. Join the Lahti team early and help shape how a campus of this scale is built, commissioned, and run.

As an Assistant Facilities Engineer you will support the Critical Services and Building Services teams responsible for the continuous and efficient operation of mechanical, electrical, fire, and building services systems, upholding high standards of safety and compliance.

You will gain comprehensive exposure to the full range of data centre operations and maintenance management. This role serves as the entry point to a long-term career in the data centre industry.

Your key responsibilities will include,

Critical System ManagementOverseeing the installation, operation, and maintenance of all MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) systems within the data centres.

Ensuring all MEP infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, and fire suppression systems, and security systems operate reliably and efficiently.

Implementing and maintaining safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
