System Engineer/Architect – Space Systems & Satellite Communications

We are currently seeking an experienced System Engineer/Architect for one of our clients, offering the opportunity to work with technically complex systems within satellite communications and space systems.
The ideal candidate has a technical background in satellite communications or radio communications, combined with the ability to work at system level across areas such as system design, requirements, integration and verification.
Our client is a Swedish technology company developing advanced solutions for secure and reliable communications. Its technology is used globally in environments with demanding requirements for performance, mobility and resilience, including applications within defence, national security and critical infrastructure.
About the roleAs a System Engineer/Architect, you will work with the overall system and the dependencies between different technical subsystems. You will translate this understanding into system designs, technical requirements and solutions that work together as part of a complete system.
An important part of the role involves collaboration with external suppliers and technical partners. You will define and follow up on technical requirements, review proposed solutions and documentation, and drive technical discussions with both internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
System engineering, system design and system analysis.
Definition, decomposition and follow-up of technical requirements.
Integration of systems and subsystems such as satellites, terminals, modems, radio systems, onboard systems and ground systems.
Planning and follow-up of verification and validation activities.
Technical review of solutions and documentation.
Technical dialogue and follow-up with external suppliers and partners.
