We are Helsinki Shipyard, a world leader in building ships for the world’s toughest waters. With more than 160 years of shipbuilding expertise in the heart of Helsinki, we design and build icebreakers, coast guard and naval vessels, cruise ships, yachts, and other specialized vessels for government and commercial customers around the world. We have built more than 50% of the world’s operational icebreakers, making us a global leader in Arctic shipbuilding.
We are part of Inocea, an international marine industrial group with five shipyards across three countries: two in Finland, one in Canada, and two in the United States. Helsinki Shipyard plays a significant role in this entity as a centre of excellence for ship design and Arctic technology.

Responsibilities
- We are now looking for an Interior Detail Designer to join our Interior Department team.
- As an Interior Detail Designer, you will transform interior basic design solutions into detailed production documentation for some of the world's most demanding passenger vessels. You will work closely with other design disciplines, suppliers, external design partners, and production to ensure high-quality and buildable interior solutions.
- What will you be working on?
- Depending on the project, your tasks may include:
- ● Preparing detail design drawings for interior and relative documentation
- ● Coordinating interfaces with other disciplines, especially HVAC and electrical
- ● Supporting production teams during vessel outfitting and installation phases by clarifying design solutions, resolving technical queries, and ensuring that designs remain practical, safe, and production-friendly throughout construction
