Senior Software Developer (Helsinki)

Our Growth Product Development team is looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to build Elisa's next generation of digital products and services.

In this role, you will work on new growth opportunities and help turn early ideas into experiments, minimum viable products and scalable digital services. You will be, first and foremost, a hands-on software developer. At the same time, you will actively contribute to deciding what should be built, how it should be implemented and what the team should do next.

Who are we?

We are part of Elisa's Digital Services unit, developing new digital products and services together with Elisa's different business units.

Our work focuses on new growth. We explore customer and business problems, test new solutions and develop the most promising opportunities towards production and scale. Our projects can be at very different stages of maturity, which means that the problems are not always fully defined and there may not yet be a ready-made backlog or established technical solution.

Our team brings together software development, product thinking, design, data and business expertise. What we build can directly shape Elisa's future products and businesses, so our work has both visible impact and real value.

About the job

As a Senior Software Developer, you will design, build, test and operate software for new digital products and services. Your work may range from rapid technical experiments and prototypes to production-grade solutions that need to be secure, maintainable and scalable.

Your responsibilities will include:

Designing and implementing new features and services

Turning unclear problems and ideas into concrete technical solutions

Building rapid experiments and minimum viable products

Developing AI-enabled features and applications

Using AI-assisted development tools effectively in your daily work

Evaluating technical alternatives and making pragmatic architecture decisions

Improving and maintaining codebases
