About VÄSTRA GÖTALANDSREGIONEN
The Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital (SU) is one of the largest in the Nordic region. We provide emergency and scheduled outpatient care, and have close collaboration with other departments including upper and lower GI surgery, and transplantation surgery. The department is organized into teams focusing on hepatologic outpatient care, gastroenterologic outpatient care, endoscopy, intestinal failure unit, and an inpatient ward. The department is actively involved in ongoing research across several fields and has a strong emphasis on education, continuing professional development, and the ongoing advancement of clinical services.
