The Department of Marketing and Strategy at the Stockholm School of Economics invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level in marketing, especially retailing.

Please note that this is not an open-rank search; we are specifically seeking early-career scholars for appointment at the Assistant Professor level.

Your profile

We are looking for candidates with a completed Ph.D. degree in Business Administration from an accredited university or business school (EQUIS, AACSB, or AMBA). The candidate must have completed their doctoral degree prior to taking up the position. As a candidate, you should have a research background in marketing with clear contributions in areas related to retailing (e.g., consumer behavior, strategy, analytics). You should also be interested in conducting research with practical implications for retail consumers and/or organizations.

The successful candidate is expected to thrive in an inclusive, methodologically and theoretically pluralist research environment that aims to contribute to both academic knowledge and a better society. Candidates will have demonstrable strengths in both research and teaching.

Your qualifications

Candidates will have the ability to publish in top-tier peer-reviewed international journals, such as AJG (4/4*) and those on the FT50 list. This will be evidenced by publications, research pipeline, and a documented presence in the international research community. Reviewing experience from relevant journals is a merit.

The candidates should have documented experience from teaching relevant courses at Bachelor and/or Master levels and must demonstrate teaching effectiveness as indicated by teaching evaluations, letters of recommendations and/or peer reviews.
