Responsibilities
- As a Mechanical Design Engineer within the Vehicle Systems team, you will be responsible for the design and development of robust, reliable, and high-performance automotive systems. The role covers development from concept to production and requires close collaboration with Product, Powertrain, Optical and Electrical Design, as well as CAE, Prototype, and Homologation departments.
- You will:
- Design and develop mechanical and electrical automotive systems, including cooling, HVAC, electrical boxes, hydraulics, fuel systems, wiper systems, and packaging
- Generate 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using CATIA V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE
- Organize and carry out tests to verify component function and ensure requirements are met
- Provide technical support for the successful introduction of components and systems into production
- Support the release of products into production through PLM
- Collaborate with suppliers and technology providers to ensure quality, performance, and delivery requirements are met
- Ensure that products comply with relevant regulations and requirements
- Estimate cost and time scopes for components and systems
Requirements
- MSc/BSc in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Automotive, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in vehicle system design
- 5+ years of experience with CATIA V5/V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE
