Development Specialist / Manager (Supply Chain data)

About this role

Responsibilities

• In this position, your focus will be on developing more data-driven ways of working within Wärtsilä Energy's Supply Chain Management organisation, particularly in procurement and strategic sourcing. You will work hands-on with data and Power BI, develop reports and data products, define KPIs and help improve how supply chain data is structured and used.
• You will work closely with supply chain professionals and data specialists to develop ideas further and turn business needs into practical data solutions. You will coordinate development projects and explore how new tools, including AI and intelligent agents, could support supply chain processes. You will be supported by Wärtsilä's data experts on more technically demanding topics, but you are also expected to be a hands-on contributor who develops solutions and drives improvements from idea to implementation.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in project coordination or development work
• A relevant academic background in engineering, supply chain, business or a similar field, combined with an understanding of supply chain processes
• Hands-on experience with data, reporting and Power BI
• A proactive, independent and analytical working style with the ability to structure information
