Operational and Maintenance within PWR is responsible for life-time operation of offshore wind assets. For our offshore wind operation base in Łeba (north of Poland) we are looking for an experienced Control Room Operator, with deep understanding of Operation Technologies' hardware and software and automation maintenance skills, who shall be responsible for offshore wind operational support, dedicated towards supporting the Baltyk 2 and 3 offshore projects.

CCR Operator shall work in Central Control Room located in Łeba O&M Base and will be responsible for daily operation of two offshore wind farms: Baltyk 2 and 3 and will monitor and remotely operate 100 turbines, 2 offshore high voltage substations and 2 onshore high voltage substations. Person in this position is expected to provide technical expertise and assistance for the relevant disciplines and contribute to safe and efficient operations. Will work in organized as a hybrid competence centre with team members located in Łeba, Gdansk, Warsaw, Oslo, Stavanger.

You will be responsible for Safe Work practices, planning, execution and monitoring of lifecycle operations and preventative as well as unplanned maintenance of the facilities, equipment, tools, and systems used to acquire energy resources. Includes identification and evaluation of operational risks and setting operational performance targets and measures. May include oversight/scheduling of a preventative maintenance program and maintenance related functional activities such as job planning, scheduling, shift control, performance monitoring and liaisons with operations groups to ensure equipment/plant scheduled downtimes are coordinated effectively.

What will my tasks be?

Within this position, your key tasks will be to:

Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and minimize risks in Renewables.

Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programmes to ensure the ongoing reliability and performance of facilities, assets, equipment, and tools.

Identify and assess operational risks associated with facilities, equipment, tools, and systems.

Maintain effective communication and coordination to minimise production disruptions.

Support operational plans and strategies for the safe and efficient operation of renewable energy assets.

Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure the smooth execution of operational activities.

Operate and monitor SCADA/HMI/CCTV systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all plant and auxiliary systems, including the Onshore Substation, Offshore Substation and Wind Turbine Generators.

Monitor weather conditions and track vessel movements to support safe operations.

Liaise with National Grid Control Engineers and issue Safety Documentation in accordance with the Grid Code.

Maintain accurate operator logs and create work orders as required.

Implement isolations (LOTO) and issue permits for corrective, planned, and emergency maintenance activities.

Operate the Work Release system, including the activation, suspension, and deactivation of work activities.

Conduct risk assessments and optimize maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.

Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures.

Work closely with operations groups to schedule and coordinate equipment/plant downtimes for maintenance activities.

Responsible for day-to-day operation and dispatch of the plant to the electric grid.

Monitor/control access to unmanned locations.

Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions in a timely manner and report any issues to appropriate governing agencies if necessary.

Ensure production forecasting is provided to National Grid and any instructions issued are acted upon in compliance with the Grid Code requirements.

Prioritize operational and safety switching duties, consent for the issue of Safety documents.

Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in engineering. Relevant experience might compensate for lack of formal education.

Existing utility/power generation experience or experience from similar environments.

High voltage experience is desirable.

TRAININGS/CERT:

Marine communication (SRC/LRC/CGO).

Qualification certificate SEP G1 (D+E) no limits LV/HV.

G1 certificate.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

Good communication skills.

Understanding of remote access and operation.

High sense of responsibility.

Ability to work on shifts (including nights).

Dedicated approach to safety and knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.

Fluent Polish and English skills, both written and verbal.
