About this role

ComplyAdvantage is looking for a detailed, tech-savvy Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll operations across our expanding international regions. In this role, you will partner closely with HR, Finance, and external providers to execute flawless monthly and semi-monthly runs, resolve employee queries, and ensure strict compliance. If you thrive in fast-paced, multinational environments and love leveraging automation and data accuracy to scale HR processes, we would love to have you on our team.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will:

Execute timely and accurate payroll processing on a monthly and semi-monthly basis;

Collect and centralize all payroll supporting information (personal detail changes, annual or medical leaves, salary changes, bonuses and commissions, meal tickets, benefits in kind, new joiners, leavers, etc.);

Collaborate with HR for verification of payroll changes (e.g., new starters, leavers, bank detail changes, and other amendments to the payroll);

Work closely with the outsourced payroll providers and maintain outstanding relationships for successful payroll processing;

Act as the first point of contact for employees on their payroll-related queries via e-mail, the case management system (Jira), or Slack;

Manage employee requests promptly, knowledgeably, and professionally within the agreed SLAs;

Perform payroll reconciliations and payroll reporting to ensure 100% payroll accuracy;

Provide support and availability during audit periods;

Raise payroll payments for approval with the Finance department to ensure funds are ready to meet payroll cut-offs;

Perform pre- and post-payroll validation checks to identify discrepancies, trends, or risks before finalization;

Monitor legislative and compliance changes and support timely implementation of any required payroll updates;

Ensure secure handling, storage, and transmission of sensitive payroll data, in line with data protection standards and company policy;

Offer support during the implementation of global-scale payroll projects.

From time to time, you will also:

Manage more complex employee lifecycle cases as they arise, such as terminations, retroactive adjustments, and off-cycle payments;

Coordinate and validate payroll-related data integrations between internal systems (HRIS, time tracking, finance) to ensure data consistency;

Take ownership of payroll data quality through periodic audits and data-cleansing activities;

Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to improve data flow and operational efficiency;

Help develop and maintain internal controls that reduce the risk of payroll errors or data inconsistencies;

Support testing, validation, and feedback cycles when payroll-related tools or systems are updated;

Maintain audit readiness by organizing documentation and ensuring traceability of payroll data.

Team Responsibilities:

The ability to work under pressure and prioritize to meet tight deadlines.

Team player who demonstrates commitment through clear and timely communication.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to investigate queries and escalate as required on a timely basis both internally and externally.

Ability to respect, protect, and maintain highly confidential information.

Visionary who seeks constant improvement of internal processes with a strong focus on work automation.

What you’ll need:
