Responsibilities
- Key Individual Accountabilities:
- System Design and Architecture: Create and refine the architecture for SCADA systems tailored to STATCOM projects. Additionally, develop user-friendly HMIs for real-time monitoring and control of STATCOM systems and select and design appropriate communication protocols (e.g., MODBUS, DNP3, IEC 61850) for data exchange. Required experience in IEC 103 protocol and driver configuration
- Implementation and Integration: Perform the installation and commissioning of SCADA/HMI systems in STATCOM projects and ensure seamless integration of SCADA systems with existing infrastructure and other control systems.Conduct rigorous testing (functional and performance testing) to validate system reliability and performance.
- HMI Design: Create HMI pages based on customer specifications and requirements.
- Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and interoperability testing that includes FAT preparation, report creation and execution
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to SCADA, HMI, and communication systems promptly.
- Manage system updates, patches, and upgrades to enhance functionality and security.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of SCADA/HMI systems.
- Ensure that all systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., NERC CIP, IEC 62351).
