Audition repertoire:

Hoffmeister or Stamitz: Viola Concerto in D major, movements 1 and 2 (no cadenzas)

Movements 1 and 2 from one of the following works:

Brahms: Viola Sonata in f minor, op. 120 nr 1

Brahms: Viola Sonata in E flat major, op. 120 nr 2

Orchestral and chamber music assignments to be announced after the closing date for applications

Auditions and application period:

The auditions will be held at the Helsinki Music Centre on December 1 and 2, 2026 from 9.00 onwards.

The deadline for applications is 23.59 p.m. Finnish time on October 7, 2026.

Preliminary selection:

Applicants will be selected for audition on the basis of their application documents and the video recording.

Applications must be accompanied by a CV which includes all relevant information about the applicant’s work experience. Please include detailed information of each orchestra, vacancy, type and duration of the employment as well as your education and other information relevant to the success of the application. Please be specific!

Attach a link to a recent playing sample (audio-visual recording) to your application. Providing a link is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended.

The job-specific monthly salary for the position is €4.034,78 (with 5-year professional orchestra experience supplement €4.217,60). There is also dress and instrument allowance.
