Agilent's Detection R&D organization develops and supports a broad portfolio of analytical detectors used in UHPLC, GPC/SEC, and related separation technologies. Our portfolio includes absorbance, fluorescence, refractive index, light scattering, and other advanced detection technologies.
These products combine optics, fluidics, precision mechanics, motion systems, thermal management, electronics, and signal processing. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will serve as a senior technical expert for released products, providing system-level oversight, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and driving product improvements across the portfolio.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will:
Serve as the technical expert for complex questions across Agilent's detector portfolio.
Own R&D sustaining activities for released products, including technical escalations, verification, obsolescence management, and product improvements.
Investigate challenging technical issues through experimentation, data analysis, and root-cause analysis.
Drive resolution of cross-functional issues spanning optics, electronics, firmware, mechanics, manufacturing, and applications.
Support initiatives such as supplier transitions, component substitutions, manufacturing improvements, and portfolio optimization.
Preserve and transfer critical technical knowledge across products and technologies.
Represent R&D in senior technical reviews and management forums.
