Product Development Project Manager Lead

About this role

Responsibilities

• Project Management – Defense Engineering
• Lead product development projects in the defense engineering area from initial concept to production start.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams (design, testing, industrialization, etc.).
• Ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety requirements.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
• Report project status and key milestones to stakeholders and management.
• Tender Management – Engineering & Costing
• Lead the engineering response to customer tenders in the defense/commercial vehicle domain.
• Define technical solutions and architectures in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Prepare and consolidate engineering cost estimates and planning for tender responses.
• Support customer negotiations from an engineering and cost perspective.
• Once a tender is won, lead the engineering activities from award to production date.
• Profile & Requirements
• Minimum 8 years of experience in product development of trucks / commercial vehicles.
• Mandatory: Proven experience in armored vehicle development (design, integration, or project management).
• Demonstrated experience in tender management (technical solution definition and cost estimation).
• Strong background in mechanical/electrical/vehicle engineering (or related field).
• Solid project management skills: planning, budgeting, risk management, stakeholder communication.
• Experience in Defense projects and standards is a strong plus.
• Ability to work in an international environment and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
