*Design Engineer, Routing**
to design cable and hose routings for Normets underground mining and tunnelling equipment, and to develop the way routing design is done across our product portfolio. In this role you will working closely with our Production and Prototype workshop teams to see how cables and hoses are routed and installed in real life and translate that understanding into better designs. You will collaborate daily with our Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical engineering teams, reporting to the Team Lead, Item Data Management & Engineering Process Development. The role is based in Iisalmi, Finland, with the possibility of hybrid work.
*Main responsibilities and tasks:**
Designing and modelling cable, harness and hose routings for new and existing equipment using Autodesk Inventor and Zuken E3.
Working hands-on in production and in the prototype workshop to understand how routings are installed in practice and feeding those findings back into design.
Working with large CAD datasets and assemblies - keeping structures, performance and data quality under control.
Creating and maintaining the related item and BOM data in Sovelia and supporting engineering changes (ECR/ECO) through implementation.
Supporting new product development projects and production ramp-up, with a focus on manufacturability, serviceability and installation quality.
Harmonizing routing practices, design rules and standard components across products, teams and sites.
