Remedy Entertainment, the creator of Control®, Max Payne®, Alan Wake®, and one of the leading independent game studios in the world, is looking for a Senior UI Programmer to create high-quality gaming experiences for the next generation of games.
Do you want to bring game User Interfaces to life through code? Are you as interested in what happens underneath the UI as in the UI itself? Things like the data flowing from the engine, the rendering path, and the frame and memory budgets?
In this role you would work alongside fellow UI Programmers, UI/UX Designers, Gameplay Programmers and Northlight Engine Programmers to build HUD widgets, Menus, and assorted UI components to serve the game vision, while working on the technical seam between the engine and the frontend.
You would have an impactful role in the game UI, as well as a chance to shape the UI craft across all Remedy projects by improving the technology it stands on, both with feedback and direct contributions.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO Working as part of a game team's UI programmers, building HUD widgets, menus and other UI components in TypeScript and C++, and shipping them in the game.
Take a big part in developing the data layer between the engine and the UI, the API through which gameplay systems expose their state to the frontend and which every UI Programmer at Remedy builds on, including designing its next iteration.
Closely work with core game features by maintaining and developing UI framework features on top of Coherent (menu navigation, data binding, binding textures to meshes, live-editing, audio system integration, input system integration)
Working closely with the Northlight engine team on UI performance and rendering features: profiling and optimizing the UI across CPU, GPU and memory on all our platforms, and contr
