As a Lead Engineer, Plant Design, your job is to lead plant engineering discipline in Valmet’s PEC projects during the engineering phase and product delivery, being responsible for the delivery time and managing the budget within plant engineering. Your location will be Sundsvall, Sweden. The team you will belong to carries out reconstruction or new construction projects for our demanding customers within the pulp and paper industry worldwide. We operate in a global organization where daily contact takes place in many parts of the world. In addition to project work within piping design, your experience and expertise will contribute to the continuous development of our products and work processes. Areas of responsibility:
Coordination of your own discipline, layout, and piping design within the project
Technical guidance during the design and installation phases
Quality review of design documentation
Follow-up of schedule and budget
Tasks:
Support pre‑project work when needed
Lead layout work and piping design in the project, communicate with other disciplines, ensure that contract and standard requirements are met, plan and lead assigned resources, and participate in multidisciplinary design reviews
Participate as a technical reference
