Are you interested in making smart devices even smarter and more energy-efficient? Are you enthusiastic about working with projects on state-of-the-art sensors and computing hardware? VTT might be just the place for you.
VTT is one of the leading applied research organisations in Europe. What unites us are curiosity, a passion for learning, and a purpose: to solve the biggest challenges of our time and turn them into sustainable growth and well-being. Our cross-disciplinary community of over 2000 brilliant minds from 55+ different nationalities focuses on creating impact through science-based innovation. In recent years, we have created ground-breaking innovations such as the world's fastest and most accurate radiation detector, a cancer-sniffing sensor device for smartphones, and a headphone set entirely made of microbial materials. Get to know us further by exploring VTT's tech & infra.
We are looking for an ambitious and results-oriented researcher with a strong background in design of test setups and conducting measurements to join our Integrated Circuits team, in Espoo.
As a Research Scientist/Engineer, you will have a key role in verification through measurements of array sensor systems including control, readout, and intelligent signal processing with a focus on high performance and low energy consumption. You identify and solve problems independently and creatively while working closely and flexibly with a team of experts. Ideally, you could conduct the design from the concept to implementation and conducting the measurements.
Depending on your background and experience, it is possible to expand the responsibilities below.
Your responsibilities as a Research Scientist/Engineer: Designing and building test setups for array-based sensors
Plan and conduct characterization of the fabricated chips
Documentation of setups, verification procedures, and test measurements
Collaboration with other experts at VTT as well as with external partners
