Senior Software Platform Engineer

About this role

Responsibilities

• Our Platform team has a broad and exciting ownership. As a member of our Platform team you will build foundational services that all our features need, security and developer experience as well as being in the forefront of AI development. You will make sure that we have the AI tooling we need to build with both speed and quality, and that our platform is secure and easy to monitor and work with. This is a role where you will spend time on building our product and internal tools as well as building SRE guidelines and best practices cross-team. The whole tech organisation consists of approximately 20 engineers split into different teams, where everyone knows each other.

• Microservice Architecture.
• AWS based infrastructure: Fargate, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, GraphQL, OpenAPI
• Databases and Querying: DocumentDB (MongoDB), MySQL, S3Tables (Iceberg), OpenSearch, Athena
• Languages: Python, TypeScript
• Infrastructure and platform: CDK, Github Actions
• Observability and tooling: CloudWatch, Aikido, PostHog
• AI Tooling: Claude Code, Internal MCP Server

Requirements

• Infrastructure and platform: Hands-on experience with AWS (or equivalent cloud). Containerization (Docker), Infrastructur
