Do you enjoy helping engineers and analysts succeed with modern data platforms while staying hands-on with technology?
About the role
We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer to help teams adopt and enable If's strategic data platform built on Azure, Databricks, dbt, Git, and CI/CD. You will work directly with users during their first implementations, help solve technical challenges, and turn recurring lessons into reusable onboarding assets, templates, and best practices.
Your success is measured not only by successful onboarding, but by how quickly teams can deliver business value using the platform. By reducing friction, accelerating adoption, and promoting proven ways of working, you help data teams spend less time figuring out the platform and more time creating value for customers and the business.
You will:
Guide teams through onboarding and their first implementations on Databricks and modern data engineering tools.
Provide hands-on support and knowledge sharing with Databricks, DBT, Git, CI/CD, and platform ways of working.
Help teams move faster from idea to production by removing technical and process-related obstacles.
Help create or support the creation of reusable assets such as templates, examples, training material, and troubleshooting guides.
Guide engineers, analysts, and other data practitioners to become productive faster.
Identify recurring challenges and translate them into improved onboarding, documentation, or platform practices.
Drive platform adoption that enables teams to deliver business outcomes more efficiently and consistently.
