About this role

Introduction

Imagine your first day at EY: you meet your own team, receive an introduction to new tools, and learn about the types of client projects you will soon be involved in. Perhaps already during your first week, you take part in a project meeting where the team discusses how to develop a client’s business, prepares the next steps of an audit, or looks into a tax-related question.

EY’s trainee role is an opportunity designed for students and recent graduates to see what expert work looks like in practice. As a trainee, you are not an outside observer, but part of a team where you learn by doing, ask questions with confidence, and build your expertise step by step. Your interests may lie in consulting, audit, tax, law, or strategy. Regardless of where your career path is taking you, the trainee period offers an opportunity to explore, learn, and find your own way to make an impact.

Responsibilities

  • A trainee’s working days consist of varied tasks that allow you to combine learning new things with hands-on work. On one day, you might prepare materials for a client meeting; on another, analyze data to support the project team; and on a third, participate in an internal workshop where solutions to a client challenge are being developed.
  • In practice, your work may include conducting background research, preparing reports and presentation materials, gathering and analyzing information, and supporting client projects and engagements. The tasks vary depending on the team and business area, but what they have in common is that you get to take part in real work and see how your contribution fits into a larger whole.
  • Expectations for Applicants
  • You may be in the final stages of your studies, recently graduated, or looking for your first work experience in your field. Perhaps you have already noticed that you enjoy problem-solving, working with numbers, collaborating with people, or absorbing new information. In our trainee roles, you will have the opportunity
