Driver Leadership, Transport Planning and Operational Excellence in the Green Transition

Are you a hands-on leader who thrives on motivating drivers and dispatchers, coordinating schedules, and ensuring smooth operations across multiple sites? Do you want to play a key role in Denmark's green transition by supporting efficient and reliable biomass logistics? Shell Biogas A/S is seeking three dedicated and dependable Regional Logistics Leads to oversee driver operations, support transport planning, and ensure efficient day-to-day logistics activities across our network. This is an exciting opportunity to combine people leadership with operational excellence in a growing and sustainable business.

About the Role

As a Regional Logistics Lead, you will be responsible for the daily coordination of drivers, transport planning, and operational follow-up within one of the following regions:

Southern and Western Jutland

Central and Northern Jutland

Funen and Zealand

In addition to your regional responsibilities, you will spend at least one day per week at our headquarters in Odense, where the majority of our transport dispatchers are based.

You will play a key role in ensuring that logistics operations are safe, efficient, and reliable while acting as an important link between drivers, operations teams, dispatchers, customers, and external transport partners.

Responsibilities

  • Driver Management & Daily Operations
  • Lead, motivate, and support drivers across multiple locations
  • Foster clear communication and provide day-to-day guidance and support
  • Address operational challenges quickly and effectively
  • Manage onboarding, training, expectation-setting, and ongoing development of drivers
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards
  • Planning & Coordination
  • Develop and maintain driver schedules across the region
  • Plan and optimize transport routes to maximize fleet utilization
  • Participate in shift planning together with transport dispatchers
  • Coordinate transport activities, collections, and deliveries between sites, customers, and production facilities
  • Ensure timely communication of operational changes, priorities, and requirements
  • Cross-Site Operations
  • Maintain regular contact with multiple production sites and ensure alignment across operations
  • Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain a visible presence at sites to support drivers and strengthen local engagement
  • Spend at least one day per week at the Odense headquarters, with the remainder of your time based at production facilities within your assigned region
  • Drive consistency in operational processes, planning practices, and performance standards across locations
  • Administrative & Operational Support
  • Monitor driving data, service performance, and daily KPIs
  • Maintain and organize logistics data to support reporting and decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with driving and rest-time regulations and other transport legislation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external transport providers and business partners
  • Ensure accurate invoicing, documentation, surcharge management, and cost control
  • Support transport tendering and carrier selection by defining requirements, gathering quotations, evaluating proposals, negotiating terms, and onboarding new transport providers
  • What We Need From You
  • We are looking for a structured and proactive logistics professional who enjoys working close to day-to-day operations and building strong relationships with drivers and stakeholders.
  • In addition, you will bring:
  • Experience leading drivers and managing transport operations
  • Experience with transport planning and dispatch activities
  • Good knowledge of tachograph regulations, driving and rest-time rules, and transport compliance requirements
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central), Excel, KPI reporting, and transport data analysis is an advantage
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operating environment
  • Strong coordination, planning, and organizational skills
  • A practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to engage directly in operational challenges
  • Clear and solution-oriented communication skills
  • The ability to work across multiple sites and implement consistent operational standards
  • Professional fluency in both Danish and English
