Are you interested in developing amazing camera and video systems that operate at the core of real-world products?

We're looking for a Senior Imaging Software Engineer to join our imaging team in Tampere. In this role, you'll architect and develop the software pipelines that process, transform, and deliver video across a range of Axon products, including body cameras, dash cameras, drones, and future imaging platforms.

You'll work primarily at the camera middleware and video pipeline layer, bridging the underlying camera platform with image processing, encoding, streaming, computer vision, and application-level consumers. You'll collaborate closely with engineers working on camera firmware, sensor integration, image quality, computational photography, and product applications.

The right candidate is comfortable working across the camera stack when needed, but is particularly strong at building robust, high-performance C/C++ multimedia and imaging systems on embedded platforms.

Work Location: This role is based out of our Tampere office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.
