About this role
We are looking for a GitHub Specialist who is passionate about improving the developer experience and advancing modern platform services. In this role, you will work with DevOps, automation, security, and platform engineering while helping shape how software development is carried out at OP Pohjola today and in the future. The position combines hands-on technical work, continuous improvement, and close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders.
The position available either in Helsinki or Oulu. Like the rest of OP Pohjola, we work flexibly, combining both office days and remote work in Finland.
About the Role
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for managing shared configurations for our GitHub Enterprise and Artifactory platforms, ensuring compliance, and developing self-service solutions. Your goal is to provide developers with a secure, scalable, and user-friendly development environment that meets the regulatory requirements of the financial industry. To succeed in this role, you have a background in software development or DevOps and enjoy working closely with others while sharing your expertise and supporting their success.
Responsibilities
- Platform Configuration and Management
- Maintain and develop shared configurations for GitHub Enterprise and Artifactory platforms
- Define organization-wide policies (e.g., repository policies, branch protection rules, artifact governance)
- Manage integrations such as Entra ID, CI/CD pipelines, and security tooling
- Compliance and Governance
- Ensure that platform services meet financial industry requirements, including auditing, access management, and traceability
- Participate in risk management activities, such as supply chain risk mitigation and pipeline security
- Document and audit processes, including access reviews and exception-handling procedures
- Self-Service Solutions
- Build self-service capabilities for developers (e.g., repository provisioning and pipeline template solutions
